Construction runs on thin margins and long payment cycles. The firms that make money are the ones that know, every week, what each site has cost against what it has billed. Most still find out at year end.
The work is there. India’s Union Budget for 2026-27 set public capex at ₹12.2 lakh crore, up from ₹11.2 lakh crore. In Saudi Arabia, project awards fell by half in the first quarter of 2026 as some giga-project contracts were scrapped, then rebounded to about USD 30 billion in the second quarter. Volatile pipelines punish contractors who cannot see their numbers.
Compliance is tightening too. The UAE’s new Wage Protection System resolution took effect on 1 June 2026: wages fall due on the first of the month, and work permits can be suspended from day five of a delay. UAE e-invoicing becomes mandatory for larger businesses on 1 January 2027.
So, who should implement Odoo for a contractor? We are one of the five below, listed first. The questions at the end are there so you can check us.
How we chose
We looked for partners with published construction or real estate work, modules for BOQ, progress billing and subcontractors, and an office or delivery record in India or the GCC.
1. ochre.digital (Noida, Gurgaon, Mumbai)
ochre.digital works with contractors, developers and their supply arms on fixed-price projects. Scope and price are agreed before work starts, and we do not sell prepaid Success Pack hours unless a client asks. The return has to show up on site, where the money is spent.
On construction, that means one record from enquiry to final bill. Project templates by job type, task completion approved by site managers, BOQ and vendor approvals, plan against actual cost, and milestone or advance invoicing. We have written up how this works for construction project management, for procurement and imported materials and for HR, equipment and compliance.
Site attendance is where most systems fail. Our geofence attendance add-on only accepts a check-in inside a set radius of the site, checked on the server, in English or Arabic. For a sister business in quarrying and aggregates, we connected the weighbridge, trip costing and e-way bills in one multi-entity database.
We roll out in phases and train people on their own jobs. Site engineers learn requisitions. Accounts learns RA bills. Nobody sits through a two-day demo of screens they will never use.
Best for: contractors and developers with 20 to 300 office users and a large site workforce, who want a fixed price and steady support after go-live.
2. Perfect Tech (Saudi Arabia, Egypt)
Perfect Tech describes itself as a leading Gold partner in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, with 100+ implementations. Its Elaf Group project is one of the clearest construction references in the region: four companies, including Elaf Saudi Contracting, on BOQ management, construction budgets, cost control, multi-company accounting and HR, replacing Jisr, its standalone HR and payroll system.
Best for: Saudi contracting groups. The published case describes scope rather than measured results.
3. Transines Solutions (Dubai, Kozhikode)
Transines describes itself as a Silver partner, with named UAE references in real estate, including Heirs of Mohammad Abdulla Al Moosa in Dubai, and in construction, including Kehlan Pools.
Best for: UAE developers and specialist contractors who want local references. Ask what was delivered for each.
4. Navabrind IT Solutions (Bengaluru, Chennai, Dubai)
Navabrind has offices in South India and Dubai and publishes a case for a South Indian real estate company, reporting a 30% cut in operating costs and a 45% rise in sales.
Best for: Indian developers who want a partner with a Gulf office. The figures are the firm’s own.
5. BrowseInfo (Ahmedabad)
BrowseInfo is a Gold partner with Best Partner India awards for 2024 and 2026, and one of the most prolific Odoo app publishers. Its catalogue includes construction management, job costing, material requisition and subcontracting apps.
Best for: firms that want ready-made apps to configure. It does not publish a named construction client.
Questions to put to every partner
- Show me RA billing with retention, advance recovery and a variation order, on your system, today.
- How do material requests from site reach purchase, and who approves them?
- How will site attendance feed WPS payroll in the UAE or PF and ESI in India?
- Is the price fixed? What happens if scope changes mid-project?
- Which site staff can run on Light User licences?
The last question can change the business case. Under Odoo 20 pricing, a Light User for attendance, expenses and self-service costs ₹195 a month in India against ₹580 for a Standard user in year one. With 150 site workers on Light, the saving runs past ₹6.9 lakh a year. Our Odoo pricing calculator shows the numbers for your headcount.
Before you choose
Ask to see a contractor that has been live for a year and still bills from the system. If the partner cannot show you one, keep looking. If you want a fixed-price plan for your company, talk to us.
